Midland Outfitter Series GXT785VP3 42-Channel 34-Mile 2-Way GMRS Radio with NOAA All Hazard /Weather Alert, Rechargeable Two way radios

Two way radios, (What's this?) Great product. Exactly what I wanted and it met my every need. Highly recommend product and experience. You will not be disappointed.
Better than expected!, (What's this?) I ordered this never owning a walkie-talkie before. The shipping by Amazon was great. I received it in 3 days.
Quality not good, (What's this?) Got this because the yellow Motorola walkie talkie was out of stock. Reception was poor and only worked out to the parking lot. It might be because you have to use it in open fields. Sound quality was not good at close range either. To use inside an office to communicate with others is not recommended. It is also very large.. about 9 inches long with the antenna, so it does not easily fit into your pocket. I recommend the Motorola brand walkie talkies. Although I have to say the duck, cougar and wolf calls were fun to play with.
Midlan Outfitter Series GXT785VP3, (What's this?) Just got back from a hunting trip where terrain varied from open alpine to dense timber. Radios worked extremely well. Did not do any communicating over about a mile or so but the reception and clarity were excellent. Used the standard rechargable battery for 3 days before running low. For the price I don't think you can do better.
Great Radios for people who know how to use them!, This is a great product. I have read other peoples postings about not working around their block. Well they are not made for that. There is too much interference in a neighborhood. If you want radios that will work in these areas you will have to pony up a little more money. You don't see police and paramedics with GMRS radios do you? I do a lot of hunting and these work great for their intended purpose. I can be all over the mountain and still hear others with me that are miles away. Great sound quality and battery life.
Good radios, (What's this?) We use radios on our 20-acre property, where we're thinning trees and doing other outdoor work. Radios are a lot better than hand signals when we're working together, and easier than running around looking for each other when we're apart. Since some of the work is dangerous, radios are a good safety measure.

We bought these radios recently to replace a pair of the predecessor model that we wore out. (Too much rough handling broke one of the antennas, I think, and reception went downhill.)

We have been happy with both pair. This model has more channels, otherwise the same features. Power and reception are very good in hills and forest over the 1/3-mile maximum range we use them in. One battery charge lasts all day.

The top volume does not seem to be quite as loud on the new pair. I wish they came in some color other than camo -- drop one on the forest floor and you'll need the other radio to locate it.
Midland walkie talkie, (What's this?)
